ELP@ Southwell

What?
This year at Southwell we are looking at Effective Literacy Practice (ELP) as a whole staff to improve our literacy programs in the class. This will be our ongoing PD throughout 2018.

So what?
This is an area that has been highlighted by our SLT to make sure we can develop a consistent approach throughout the school. Students will start learning the routines around writing in their first year at Southwell and this should progress each year as they go. They won't have to learn new routines in each year and will be delivered a consistent approach year by year.


Now what?
In class we need to try and write in our draft books 4 times a week. Students need to write in blue, skip lines and edit in red. Teachers need to write in black.
The next PD session will be in week 7 with Carla McNeil from Learning Matters.
